Children being put into the "system" need suitcases, duffels, backpacks, etc. They often leave their home with nothing but a few things thrown into a plastic bag. If you want to make it even more special, collect pens, pencils, journals/notebooks/diaries, and put them in the bag. To make sure you are doing right by them, contact your local child welfare service. You can do the same for women who end up in shelters. They usually need socks, deodorant, new makeup, and what I suggested you put in the kid's stuff. Buy a box of diapers if you want to help their babies as well. Blessings~
