There is a big difference between and a GPU and a graphics card. The GPU is the main chip inside the graphics card. Yes, the GPU is the chip. The GPU is basically the brain of the graphics processing.

The graphics card is the whole assembly. It has memory, the circuit board, fans, and so on. The GPU is therefore inside the the graphics card. The graphics card can either be integrated in the processor. If it's integrated graphics card it often shares the same memory, cooling fan, and circuit board with the processor.

When processor comes a standalone device that is isn't inegrated into processor, it is called a dedicated graphics card.

So GPU in graphics card is like CPU in motherboard

But why graphics card often more expensive than most of other pc parts?

Wait wait wait, i’m no computer expert but there are 2 CPU’s in a computer? Because in a PC there is a motherboard that holds the CPU. That CPU has a CPU cooler attached to it. Then there’s a graphics card called the GPU. You’re saying that in the GPU there’s another CPU in the GPU? I don’t understand? 0:13, this part, I don’t understand?

Could you go into how integrated GPUs (iGPUs) in Apple products (specifically M1 and M2 macs) provide significantly better performance in both gaming and in GPU-intensive non-gaming applications compared to iGPUs in intel and in AMD CPUs?
