Redstone is one of the most used mechanics with a giant comunity around it.
Additionally:

- Use a trapped chest instead if a chest for the trash can, so you can pick up things you throw accidentally

- The elytra launcher only worked on bedrock edition for a while as it uses a bug and it was removed already

- There are easier ways to use the daylight detector to make an alarm
