To-die-for cornbread! It's soft, savoury with a touch of sweet and so moist, you don't need butter to scoff it down (but no one in their right mind would skip the butter - and to really take it to the next level add a drizzle of honey too!)

This corn bread is amazing. I have always had trouble making corn bread, they usually came out as corn bread crumble. Yours is perfect. I baked them straight up in a casserole dish, took 35 minutes. Best corn bread I made.

This the way my grandparents and mother used to make it. It's the only way I know how. Nice to see it's still being used. Thanks for sharing.

Followed the recipe and put the 1 tablespoon of baking powder i would say way to much!! (im not a baking so didnt seem off to me until i tried it). Also think the sugar needs to be increased. Ill give it 1 more shot with the changes to baking powder and sugar and let you know.
