I love the way he explains stuff. Wish I could have him as my teacher

Good. But since I have always found the concept of 'function of ...' to be rather advanced / abstract / fancy / whatever ... and form me slow to internalise and a constant distraction, I now take the view that it would be good to emphasize in the lay AND GEOMETRICAL (graph) notions of simply 'a question about x' or 'go get the ANSWER that is with x' (from the graph or calculate) ... INPUTS and OUTPUTS and function machines are good and necessary points of views to learn about, but they too are slightly sophisticated and are mechanisms on the route to understanding the complete idea of a function and the many points of view available. As to a function being 'a relation' -> clearly, but in studying 'relations' we never actually tested or classified the type of relations as we did with for example: =, <, > etc. I wonder if it is a 'relation' in this sense ? Any thoughts ? Do you agree ?

Currencies fluctuate over time and between banks, so maybe not the best example. Kilos and pounds would be better.
