IMO, as someone good at math, the most confusing thing about f(x) is that you are not talking about an individual object, but actually a relationship that exists for all possible values of X. that means that rather than one point, it is a set of an infinite number of points. If you can accept that and become familiar with that, then the rest is just notation and applying the rules of equations or expressions. Simple, once you are comfortable with it, but until that point, nothing sticks.

Thanks a lot. My teacher doesnt apply anything to real world values and it makes everything seem a hundred times more complicated then it actually is. Ive been trying to figure out what the hell F of X means for days and now its crystal clear. Thanks again

My online math class has no books and uses these videos to teach math for her. No zoom calls, no in class meetings, and if i email a questions then she answers it with a question a few hours later. I fucking hate our government's covid lockdowns.
