What is the initial phase of the matter of star formation (how did it get into one location without immediately dissipating out into space as a plasma or gas - assuming that a hot event got it into one location in the first place)?

what is the initial source of all the energy that causes all the heat?
Great presentation.

I also wonder whether intergalactic/intragalactic currents (Birkeland currents) are more energetic than what's needed to create plasma. Maybe there is a more energetic state of matter

Right/Wrong - Science and specific interpretations based on available data is way more nuanced.
Attacking the 'Electric Universe' is like fighting windmills. You have to be way more specific otherwise the topic statement of the video is at best fatuous.

you are describing plasma in high energy glow mode. "gas" is ionized also, I might be wrong but I think EU consider dust and gas over large distances to be "dark mode plasma".

Where are the stars forming and how do they find their orbits?

Maybe magnetism is the 5th state ? What you say is so easy to understand even a six year old kid can comprehend... When a star loses heat, where does the heat go, does the heat vanish forever oder get the universe heaten up ?

Okay, Jeffrey. You just made one simple but very common mistake about the earth. You have taken a theory about the earth's core to be a fact or settled science. An Iron core is only theory. Seriously, don't let your schooling interfere with your education. It wasn't so long ago people were taught the earth was flat and the universe revolved around the earth. It was settled science (fact) back then.
I can see your theory to be plausible in some ways but am left with further questions. Like, cooled object composition differentials, gaseous cloud star birthing fields, and supernova events. Could one assume that the cooler planet types should be far more common than plasma star formations? If your theory is correct, the opposite effect of cooling must also apply (two-way street). Thus, solid objects can become liquid or gaseous and thus plasma (stars) under certain conditions. Therefore, gas clouds could/should have fairly large quantities of solid, liquid, and gaseous planet like structures that are building up into plasma formations. Again just theory, right?
Anyways, thank you for something to think upon.
---Just my two cents.

Interesting idea, but I demand evidence. How would you go about proving this?
