I had a spider no bigger than a pea (without legs, only counting body) crawling on the seam where my wall joins my ceiling. I'm 18 and have never been able to kill a spider of that size, I have had a truly severe arachnophobia for all my life. Your video helped me kill it. I took a roll of wrapping paper and put coiled-up duck tape on one end, then I used it successfully. It took me over a dozen attempts to get myself together and find the courage to finally execute the stab. I twisted it on the spot like you recommended, and in the end the duck tape was so strong that I was able to let go of the roll and it was held up by the sheer strength of the duck tape. It took me a few more twists to loosen everything. It took me a long time to look on the other end of the roll, but when I did I couldn't even recognize that the thing on there was ever a spider (it was only a semi-large smudge on the tape). So, aside from a stain on my ceiling, I'm relieved and the adrenaline is slowly wearing off.

(For anyone with a similarly severe phobia, this method he proposed really works, but you have to fold the duck tape a bit diagonally so the sticky exposed area is bigger than the width of the duck tape roll.)

It is 3 o'clock in the morning where I am at and I litlary look in the qorner of my room and see the biggest spider ive ever seen in my life! I'm like "No, no, no, no, I want it dead, I want its family dead, I want its house burned to the ground, I never want to see it again"!

So its 3 days later...and I can say I no longer live in that house...

I use a broom instead of wrapping paper!!!! And I drop it and run away screaming after I smash!

I just tell the spider - hold on, don't go anywhere! then i grab a piece of toilet paper and smash it with my fingers. Done.

trying to get a spider outside for an hour is actually pointless. They'll most likely die being in a new environment and they can't feel pain. And if they do somehow survive their new environment they'll either come back to your house or someone elses.
