2025 Audi SQ5 Review: Performance SUV Refined

Audi's popular midsize performance SUV, the SQ5, enters its third generation with a host of improvements that promise to keep it at the forefront of the luxury crossover segment. Set to hit European dealerships in the first quarter of 2025, the new SQ5 brings a sharpened design, advanced technology, and enhanced performance to the table.

At the heart of the 2025 SQ5 lies a potent 3.0-liter V6 TFSI engine, delivering an impressive 270 kW (362 hp) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque. While Audi hasn't released official performance figures, we expect the new model to improve upon its predecessor's already brisk acceleration. With a starting price of €82,900 in Germany, the 2025 Audi SQ5 positions itself firmly in the premium performance SUV segment. While it may not represent a revolutionary leap forward, the thoughtful updates across design, technology, and efficiency should keep it competitive against rivals like the BMW X3 M40i and Mercedes-AMG GLC 43.
