Check out the thirty two sequencer available for launchpad pro. It is a great standalone sequence. 32 steps x 32 tracks

is the notes played on the launchpad pro the same as the notes played when laoding just a short sound on the mk2 i want to know cause i've got a mk2 and want to play melodies but i can't figure out what plays what

It depends what program are you using for producing. I use FL Studio and FL gives note mode drum mode etc for every launchpad. For example I use note mode on Launchpad Mini MKII

I got a launchpad mini mk3 for Christmas, I'm really not to sure on it and I feel like I should send it back and get a normal mk2

the other modes in launchpad pro are not really necesary if you have external midi keyboards like radeon 49 for example.
