As an Idahoan born and raised, this is true. A few other things to keep in mind: only Idahoans can make potato jokes, the capital is pronounced Boi-see not Boi-zee, and if you do remember us, please don’t mix us up with Ohio or Iowa. Just don’t. It’s worse than being forgotten.
