As an Idahoan, a lot of people don’t realize there is no color here. It seems obvious that everything is black and white and we live in western saloons, but I guess a lot of people don’t realize it. That’s why it’s shaped like a pew pew, it’s basically showing support to our local sheriffs and mayor who rid the town of felons and tumbleweeds. Hope this helps!

There are many things I expected to happen today. My state getting called out for being shaped funny was not one of those things.

It’s a bit more insidious than that. There was a copper baron in Montana named Marcus Daly, who influenced this. The original boundary was the Continental Divide, but Daly owned massive logging tracts west of the Divide. So they moved the western border to the Bitterroots.
