Making cider from supermarket apple juice

Hello YouTube

If you follow my Instagram or Twitter you will know I've recently begun homebrewing one of the easiest things to brew is turbo cider from store bought apple juice

I got 4.5l of pure apple juice, some yeast, a teabag and this bargain fermenting bucket from amazon;

This gave me 8 pints of cider for only 31p a pint!

We have also begun making several wines from the various berries we grew and foraged this year which I will be sharing with you as well as future beer brews

I'd love to hear what you guys thought so please leave a comment or a thumbs up and if you liked and maybe you'd consider subscribing

I also post on these platforms;

I hope you enjoyed watching, thank you!

Take care

Roo

Next logical step is of course acquiring a distillation equipment :-) Nice brewing Roo!

This is a superb act of protest against the government, the taxman and all the proponents of the nanny state . They tax us when buying this drug and then use that money to prevent people taking other less harmful drugs.

Brewing my own cider today thanks, for the very informative video.

Great video - there's lots of similar videos but this is the most 'viewer-friendly'. I started mine off yesterday using the same bucket as you, can't wait to see the outcome. Fermentation certainly taking place! Thanks

Ha ha! Love it! Wilko does the lot - mix bucket, bottles etc. Lidl have good quality apple juice too - not the stuff made from.concentrate.

Nice vid. Might try it myself!

Nice one, fortunately I have a surplus of apples at the moment so I might try mashing them up and give it a go as I have the rest of the ingredients. Also I don't use air locks but just put a poly bag over the top of the fermenting bottle with an elastic band (cheap skate :-) ) so when the pressure build up the CO2 can escape past the band. All the best

Just found your channel. I found it funny because I put a cider on the other day and used the exact same apple juice and the same yeast. Only difference is I put dried elderflower in it. I will have to try it with a tea bag next time.

Awesome now I know how to make hard cider! Or is more of a wine? Give us a two week review on how it tastes. Interesting, I may have to do this, as well! Thanks brother! God bless 🙏🏻🇬🇧🇺🇸

Champagne yeast, 2 pounds of brown sugar per 3 gallons of juice, mix the apple juice with the brown sugar in parts then pour them into the container used for fermentation. Add 5 sticks of cinnamon as a base, some clove, and wait until its done bubbling. When its done, put the container in the ice box/fridge for 2-3 days, and burp/open the nossle for gases to release everyday. Once its gotten as clear as you want transfer it to a new container then pour it into your sanitized bottles. If you add concentrate or more apple juice to sweeten it, fermentation WILL begin and gases will be produced leading to carbonation and if left unchecked an exploding bottle.
