My Husband (who like Austin has Aspergers) has been attacked several times as a Delivery Driver for a huge international Fast Food Company. On every occasion, the managers have been impotent - caring more that things return to "business as usual" than looking after their employees. I pray for him every time he leaves for work - it's disgusting that people are facing this while working regular jobs x

The reason this is happening is because our society is allowing it to happen. Laws are written so that the ones breaking the laws have more rights than the ones trying to enforce the laws. It is cheaper for the corporation to fire an employee than to face any type of lawsuit filed from the lawbreaker.

I worked as a banker at Citibank during Covid and I watched my “manager” manage to bring the customer who just threatened my life back into the branch.
We were constantly abused and threatened. We begged for a security gaurd. Mind you, we are a bank, and after weeks of abuse they brought one who was a 19 year old kid with no weapons and got choked out by 3 women the first week. I’ve contacted two attorneys who are scared to take on Citibank in a lawsuit. That’s what I get for not finding an excuse to not come to work during a pandemic because I cared about keeping my branch open for my customers. These employers need to be hit HARD in the pockets and publicly shamed
Oh and you guessed it, I was also fired after keeping the branch open all through COVID. They made up some nonsense excuse. At one point I had full access to citibanks clients information right from my personal cell phone. Yep! No special device to protect information.. just my own lil cell. Which I was not compensated for for using my own device either. They broke so many laws it’s beyond belief…

Horrific the company policies are endangering the employees more than protecting them and customers. It's just encouraging crimes to continue. The imminent danger is a buildup of standing down.

Threatening a bus driver is rightfully charged, same should be said for attackers of these people. Corporations are not doing their due diligence and same may be said about the government
