President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has announced plans by his government to introduce a vehicle financing scheme to support every Ghanaian to purchase brand new made-in-Ghana vehicles.
The decision, according to the President, would enable Ghanaians to purchase locally produced cars to reduce the importation of vehicles which cost the nation about US$1.5 billion annually.

We will vigorously support this scheme IF it is really geared only towards Ghanaian vehicle manufacturers such as Kantanka and not the already established multinational car Companies. As a farmer I am begging the government and Safo Kantanka to please shift their focus to specialized or work vehicles such as farm tractors, mini articulators, fire service engines, ambulances, car haulers, tow trucks, fowl and animal trucks, buses etc.

Good government initiatives. Question? What good to me when I can not drive the car to my residential areas due to bad roads in the middle of the city. Check Top Base Residential areas in Gbawe Accra.
Tax me and fix the residential roads at the same period. No problem helping my country in Automotive Industry. But not at the cost of broken Car at my expense due to Government neglect on residential road networks. That is not Win-Win situation or is't?

Well done Sheriif. Your program is very educative and informative.

Please try to get more of such videos to inform and educate Ghanaians of what the government is doing.

More grease to your elbow.

We want affordable homes not cars, how can you be driving a car whiles living in a single room compound house and it will even be a rent. GHANA NEEDS AFFORDABLE HOMES 🏠

This is how you profit from your people and country. Many other countries should follow bc Africa doesn't need colonizer to control their lives bc you certainly can't tell them what to do in their countries.
I want to come home and live out the rest of my live. Thank you God.

Car financing scheme should have been first implemented even before the factories establishment, this not a new policy since the western countries are already doing.

I think it's too expensive, as safety issues are not to be compared with Western cars. My SUV Creta costs abt. 21000 dollars, but Japanese safety issues.

Or maybe they're more important things that he should establish for the people of Ghana! Electricity water supply housing jobs etc! Cars depreciate!
