Absolutely mesmerizing block-drill stuff! This, from someone who lives and breathes corps-style 😮! Loved the inclusion of the end of “Russian Christmas Music”! (Great Gate of Kiev)

70 years ago I played drums in Maroon band at TAM. I had a great time of my very young life. James Horrell Class 1950

This band is a must-see before you die. Literally. Watching their halftime shows is beyond belief; precision, creativity and musical skill like you'll never see it anywhere. Mind you, I'm a diehard Sooner fan but that's immaterial. If you ever get a chance to see the A&M Aggie Band, do not miss it. They are the finest college band in America.

Played football at A&M. The band was practicing when we went out and still practicing when we went in. That could account for why we NEVER lost a half time.

My brother played trombone in the Aggie band in the mid '60's. I still get tears in my eyes whenever I hear them play. It still makes me proud.

We lived in College Station 1953-1955. Band practice every weekday morning at 5:30 am. I can still sing the Aggie fight song and that was 65 years ago when I was 10!

As a loyal TCU Alum I must say that the Horned Frogs always enjoyed seeing the A&M Band when you came to Fort Worth for a football game! You make us all proud to be Americans!🇺🇸

I wanted to be in that band so bad. It never happened. I joined the Air force after high school and after 10 years in the military I became a police officer. The up side is I get to watch the Aggies march in the battle of flowers parade in San Antonio every year while working the parade as a police officer. I must say I have to hide the goose bumps and hold back the tears when they march by.. I love this band !!!

As a proud Scot I just love marching bands it's in the blood.
I lived near Edinburgh, Scotland🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 where the Tattoo is held but I've got to say this band is exceptionally magnificent. Amazing to watch.
Go Aggies...Go...

I've viewed this film about half a dozen times, and it's incredible.
As a man from England, I've not seen anything like this. I could picture this fighting Aggie band putting on a display for HM Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace. It would certainly make a change from her Majesties Coldstream Guards at trooping the colour. What a band eh.👍
With kind regards from South East England.👍

As much as I don't root for teams from Texas I will say that is the best half time drill I have ever seen in my nearly 75 years. Stunning to watch. Mike Mather - US Marine.

I was crazy about watching the Texas Aggie Band while studying for Masters in 1975-76. I still enjoy watching the Band 42 years later all thanks to YouTube.

For me the most amazing thing is when they go into a close order continuous counter march, no space for any error/misstep and with an instrument!, and they are all on step and in perfect alignment as it seems to go on for minutes in a tightly bunch part of the field, and then they end the continuous counter and all come out one end like they were just taking a stroll in a park. The base drums have it the hardest on the close counter, having to dip their big drum down to avoid obstructing the rest of the band as they make the turn. Totally awesome GIG’EM ‘75

Thanks for the video. My wife and I were at this game, and our son is a junior in the Corps (not band) and was also on the field for the block T. My kudos to all the young men and women who dedicate a large part of their college experience to serve in the Corps and sacrifice their personal time to be part of something much larger.

I n the fall of 1960, I was a seventeen year old fish from Georgia, knew nothing about Texas A&M. I was in dorm 9 room 403 was woke up first morning with the band practicing, that performance is many hours in the making. Didn’t make it that fall, but later in life as a Captain in Vietnam I would sing the songs to calm myself, once an Aggie always an Aggie.

@ 5:43 I bow down to this band. It takes discipline and many hours of practice and repetition to perfect this type of maneuver. Nice job!!!
