“Seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years, decades…each life a faded, lesser copy of the one before; wake up, eat, work, sleep reproduce, and die!” -Henry Creel (001), 1979

When i was watching 001 tell his story, I couldn’t help but notice the bone-chilling background song. HAD to look for it lmao

This plot twist was insanely mental! This music makes it 10 times better as well!

As a long time hardcore fan of the work of Philip Glass and of Akhnaten I was absolutely blown away by the PERFECT choice to put 'Windows' in that scene. I cheered and bursted into tears as the first notes came in. It was unbelievable.

This song is by far the most bone chilling one I've heard. This is the best stranger things feature for me, better than running up that hill.

The lyrics of 'Window of Appearances' is also very fitting for One's monologue. It is a bold proclamation by the newly crowned pharaoh Akhnaten who hails the sun-disk (Aten) as the sole creator god of the universe; "all the other gods sprung from His mouth's utterances."
Now compare it to One's disdain for human society and his intention to 'make his own rules', along with his strange fascination for spiders as the perfect predators...

Also when One tries to persuade Eleven to join him, the romantic aria 'Akhnaten and Nefertiti' plays in the background, adding a whole extra layer of revulsion over his persuasive words.

Sadly this doesn’t have the comments it deserves! This is an instant classical hit. This is a piece of Netflix and ST history. Also a lot of people don’t know It was also used in Watchmen

Glad to see more classical music around here

This really does sound like it would play at the final exorcism scene in the Exorcist. That would be awesome!

Probably one of the best scenes in the show

This and the koyaanisqatsi prophecy are my personal favorites. Prophecy moreso because it's a direct reference to the film koyaanisqatsi and ones ideals line up with that movie.
Albeit to the extreme but they are still there.

L’épisode 7 est le meilleur de la série ! Meilleur que le 4 pour moi comme il t’explique le pourquoi du comment de Stranger Things c’est démentiel
