Fresno produced Pat and Lolly Vasquez Vegas (1939-2010) who started up on of the first-ever Native American rock bands. They later dropped Vasquez and went by the last name of Vegas. They formed the band Redbone and produced a major hit in "Come and Get Your Love" in 1973.

Jeff visits the Fresno Memorial Gardens west of Fresno, Calif., to visit the musician's grave and tell about his life.

It is amazing that someone we never met can have such a strong influence on us. Lolly Vegas was one of those men. Rest in peace.

Always love the history. Through fire, rain, snow and sleet. History must be kept alive. Without history there would be no past. Without past there is no present, without prensent, there'd be no future.😊

I love their music. The movie Guardians of the Galaxy really helped bring them back.
It’s been a minute since I’ve been out there to visit friends and family, thanks Jeff!

I'm sorry to hear he suffered toward the end of his life ... I was living in Fresno in 74, moved back up north after a few years .. I've been back to Fresno lately, and it's crazy how much the southern area has grown .. I remember Herdon Rd was just orchards, now its doctors' offices everywhere...😊

Yes Jeff some good things have come from Fresno. When your were in the cemetery your outro was given just yards from where my parents are buried and my younger brother ( a Vietnam vet ) is in the veterans section. I also am a vet and have a reserve plot there also. Fresno was a great place to grow up in and I returned here when I left military service.🤠👍
