I watched this in film class in college in my 20s and absolutely did not like it.
But I just watched it last night in my 60s now that life has beaten me up and caused me to be on the verge of becoming a grumpy old man, and I totally, totally appreciate this movie.

You've gotta be old and wise and worldly and experienced in order to really get this film.
So just wait until you're old and bitter, and this will turn out wonderfully.

Now I need to watch A Christmas Carol again.

With all the fantastic movies on AFI's 100 movies of all time such as North by Northwest, Vertigo, Apocalypse Now, it's a bit suprising that it's in the top five rankings last I seen. It's a great movie, but better than those or Gone With The Wind? No. I'd place it at 100, actually.
