In the past few years, AI has gone from being a promising field with prospects of changing the world for the best to earning mistrust and rejection due to its misuse in applications such as deep fakes, social media algorithms, invasion of privacy, non-human generated content and internet spam. When all this has become part of our daily digital life, can we still believe that Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning will be used for beneficial, helpful, constructive and productive purposes?
