Please build this into the real Solidworks, for the 98% of us that can't use or don't want to use the "platform". If you don't, other companies who are listening will. Thanks

It makes the software a lot easier. I’ll say that as an experienced designer and older than all the people in the comments.

This doesn't seem to be a true AI implementation, but it is an interesting start. One comment on videos. Why on earth do so many people think they need to include loud and distracting music on an instructional video? I finally gave up on it.

I wouldn't call this an AI. Rather, it is an improved algorithm, far from being an AI. Also, it is highly dubious that it can predict what I want, when I reality I DON'T KNOW! I try stuff, while designing and ideas come and go. It is an iterative process, which is not well established. What would make a huge difference is: 1. Instant FEA/CFD simulations and 2. Instant cost calculators. I know, I know. However, that's what I need in my field and this is what will make the product more attractive.

Could you please implement an AI that would help me navigate around the allpresent bugs in SOLIDWORKS? That's how I spend 7 out of 8 hours of my workday :(

I'm a CATIA Automotive designer. Which AI is best to learn for CAD?

Make all DS Products open source or else imminent is very near 😮 believe me

I love how all the comments are negative but no downvotes on this video. Why not give geniune feedback? Don't you want DS to succeed? In your own self interest, isn't it better than to learn a dumber program?

This is a step in the right direction. I don't want to use any other platform but DS HAS to make this good. Please.
I want to be able to explode a view intuitively. The autoballoon needs to be better. Auto dimensioning needs to be better.
If you want this to be good, you will need a lot of parts and drawings. Why not offer a program to existing solidworks users that insentivizes them to share that with DS and offer rewards to those that do.
If I could get a 15% off subscription for being in the program I'd do it. I'm running SW 2016 bc its so expensive to get another license and the subscription is too much.
If the AI gets good in 3 years I may switch to a subscription to help it out and to get quicker models done. Don't mess this up.

Tell an a.i. "make me a six inch pipe two inch diameter with a 1/16th wall, and on one end affect blah blah from your desk and it builds it as you say it would be dope

These features are way off, of what is possible by ai . These wouldn't in my opinion qualify to be called AI . In my opinion if ai is chatgpt, then these features are "autocorrect"

I tried using the cloud based 3D experience. I hated it. Unless you are working in a room full of experienced users who are willing to help. You might spend hours just getting the software to load because of the update they ran the night before. My opinion, hard pass on the web based for now. I’ve come very close to leaving solidworks. Maybe next year.

Sorry, but you dont integrate AI into your app, you integrate your app into AI. It ABSORBS you, not the other way around. They did not integrate AI into film making, the redefined it via SORA, it creates the movie by TYPING what you want, no crew cameras locations actors. (for engineering, no staff, engineers etc)

WARNING - now there's an idea, feed their AI systems the very data it needs to make you obsolete (by using it) ... uhhh, I'd take a hard pass at that if I were you
