I used to use airbrush stencils on wood shapes. Wooden spoons, forks or just scrap wood, cut with fork like fingers will hold edges down while spraying. Also used a slopping board to prop up & hold the shapes for easier access while sitting down and working on production pieces.

Thank you for your video on making a stencil with the Cricut machine and right to the point. Lots of great tips! 🙂 You can always use a spray repositioning adhesive on one side of the stencil (after it has been cut) to help hold it down, so that it doesn’t lift. I’m looking forward to making my own stencils. 👍

Thanks man. This got me going good with stencils on the cricut where too many other vids have failed. A note that a 'mil" is one thousanth of an inch. Therefore .4mm = 15.7 mil. Cheers

Really appreciate seeing the painting. I am having trouble with bleed under the edge of vinyl stencils.

Amazing video! Most understandable one out there thank you! Needed this tutorial because I was cutting the stencils out myself with a thin knife, not great for small details needed to make some band patches. Knowing I could do this with a cricut is definitely life changing lol

Use Easy-Tack repositionable adhesive spray by Krylon on the back of the stencil before placing on your substrate - you can peel the stencil off easily, but it should hold the stencil in place while you spray.

There's a lot of stencil adhesives they work well. When done put the stencil on leftover vinyl backing or use piece of parchment paper. Also checkout using parchment paper for placing vinyl. Great tricks.

You could make a few stencils, layer them together with glue, and you have a heavier more rigid stencil.

If the stencil sheets don’t have adhesive backing, would a little bit of glue stick work? Thanks!

Cool. Do you ever use a light spray adhesive to keep the stencil flat/sealed?

Thanks for the video. I don't know if I missed it, which kind of cutter tip you used?

Is there a specific setting to press in order for the black parts of your design to be cut, because my app keeps saying cut not detected

i dont say this normally but dude, i <3 you, that site for free stencils is awesome and ur tutorial is awesome, but i use .7 mil plastic instead of setting it to .4, set it to "Mylar" under Other, and set Pressure to "More", the .7 are better for reusable stencils IMO.
