THANK YOU! I got one of these as a free gift from a local university, and showed it to my boss. Within seconds he had screwed it up. That was two months ago, and today, with this video's help I was able to solve it. I did have to repeat several parts of the video to ensure I was doing it properly.

I learned the 3x3 in two days with pogobat as a bored teen. And now my 5 year old asks for the 2x2. Took a second, but yay! Thank you. (Edit: knowing the 3x3 so long, I couldn’t tell you how I make the turns or even what I’m doing. I don’t look at my hands. So calling the 2x2 second nature is foreign to me.)

Had white and yellow. After 6 reps of the 4th algo I got 3 sides... from there I lost 1 side after 1 more rep, and gained it back after an additional rep... 3 sides max seems as far as I can get...

Well, I’ve just smashed my cube into the floor, never to be solved EVER.
Why can’t ANYONE do a decent and CLEAR tutorial on how to solve this thing while going SLOWLY and not flipping it all over the place?

speedcuber here, those interested in learning 2x2, first learn 3x3. Once you understand 3x3, 2x2 falls into place automatically. The 2x2 is basically a 3x3 without the edge and center pieces.
