At about 7:40, you distinguish the coordinate function, x_sup_ i, from a point. That is very helpful. I have often said that many students stumble over the math notation rather than the actual concepts. Thanks for a lucid presentation.

Don’t understand how you used an empty partial of x1 at 36:27 as v1 in the directional derivative formula but disappeared it to just partial x1/ partial x1 =1. You dwelled on the easy part, that it equals kronicker but left out the hard part! Still, you are a great teacher.
