Duct Tape VS Wart

Apologies for the lack of wart footage, I didn't think to take pictures of it until it was all mooshy and holey. But look! Left 4 Dead gameplay instead.
Duct tape beats wart, though covering your skin for weeks on end is pretty damaging to all that's underneath it, and my finger remained wrinkled and sensitive for weeks after.

of course there is a spreadsheet for it

FYI the holes were probably pitted keratolysis caused by bacteria from keeping the spot covered for so long. It's common in workers who wear gloves too long. Also I got rid of one by jamming a burning incense stick into the spot repeatedly.

I had a wart on the sole of my foot when I was young. It was hell, burning pain after only a few steps. The doctor prescribed me, yes, tape. Not duct tape but a bandaid kid of tape. It helped a little (I could walk home after school without being in total pain).

In the end, I dug the wart out of my foot. It was kind of „loose“, so I dug it out and it left a small hole in my foot. It’s completely healed now, no remains of it, but I will always remember the summer where I learned what life is like when you can’t walk.

Didn’t expect to tell this story today.

I went the caveman route. Had a wart in my palm for year that didn't respond to any treatment then one day i was pissed and began digging at it with the edge of some sharp tweezers. I also added rubbing alcohol to clean and i assume it helped kill off some of the wart. It took a few days but I got good at identifying what was wart tissue and what wasn't. It was an odd experience scratching at it, majority of the time it didn't hurt much but when I went deep enough presumably through the wart it stung like hell. It took about a week in all of scratching and bleeding but eventually it went away, I don't even remember what hand it was on and there's no scar left behind. 8/10 would recommend probably isn't as bad if you can catch and eliminate it early.

So part of the thinking around wart treatment is that it's not just the duct tape (or more standardly, salicylic acid) killing the wart, it's also stimulates your immune system to recognise and attack the wart.

I've had a wart for over 10 years that didn't respond to duct tape, super glue, or those wart freezing things. But one day it just disappeared on its own

My mom would always put vinegar on a little cotton pad and keep that on the wart for a few days with a bandaid or I guess duct tape and it worked wonders.
Afterwarts it simply falls off entirely and it's like it was never there.

You should probably get actual wart patches instead of duct tape.
The main goal of these patches is actually to kill the wart and the skin around it so in that they do work similarly to duct tape.
Duct tape usually isn't made to be put on your skin though, so it can contain a bunch of different harmful toxins.
Wart patches make sure they don't contain anything that would be more harmful than it needs to be to remove the wart.

Philip, I haven't looked at the comments you talk about, but I love these kinds of video's. They make no sense, but have everything to do with you just doing things 'normal' people wouldn't do, or wouldn't dare to upload. Keep going as you have always done :)

I got rid of mine by using apple cider vinegar. I soak it in medical cotton bud and then use paper tape to wrap it around the wart. Re applied daily. It doesn’t hurt and its easy to do, but you will smell like apple cider vinegar.

when even the adhesive bits of a bandaid are pretty bad for the skin, I cannot imagine how duct tape would be.
Good thing duct tape is a rare household item in my country so I never tried such a thing
