Baldur’s Gate 3 was announced back at E3 last year, and since then we have been continuing to grow to 350 people, and working on new technology and pipelines that allow them to create a truly next-generation RPG.

My grandpa introduced me to the Baldurs Gate series, and RPGs in general. He was a DnD nerd through college and Baldurs Gate quickly became his all time favorite. He had to have spent a few thousand hours between both games and expansions.
It was the beginning of a life long love.

He died a week before the trailer dropped for this game, and I hadn't really come to terms with his passing yet.
I cried watching the trailer. Its painful to think about how much he would have loved this, but I was glad it was put in Larians hands and not passed off to any old company to make a quick buck.
I know they'll do it justice, and they'll make a game he'd have invested every day he would otherwise have had left into. I'll buy it, I'll play it and I'll beat it. My character will adopt his name and I'll do my best to put the thought into playing that he did, finding every secret and solving every puzzle in a blind playthrough.

RIP Grandpa. I miss you and I'd give anything to have you back. If only long enough to play this game with me.

I wish these guys a thousand years of success. They've earned gamers respect (for what is worth) since they first released Divinity, using the money earned on pc to deliver it aswell on consoles and then using the money earned through consoles to re-release the game on pc with voice acting and extra stuff. For FREE.

The only other time in my life I was this stoked to wait for a game was when Skyrim was announced. After playing the Divinity: Original Sin games, I've become enamored with Larian's developers.

I love how much passion goes into the announcements by Larian. This is the only studio which manages to make their videos interesting enough to warrant watching them rather than reading a summary on a Kotaku.
