I Tried Native Deodorant for a Year - Updated Unsponsored Review

In this video I share my updated review after using Native Deodorant for an entire year! Did it work? Which scents were the best?

My first purchase for native was an unscented & then a sensitive. I advise, trying those before all those others. It’s the safest choice in my opinion when trying something new. No complaints here.

Hi Rachel, I’ve been using Native deodorants for a few months now and it’s been going good so far. I sweat a lot in the gym lol and still doing okay with them. I’ve just been using the coconut and vanilla one. How lucky are some people lol. My mom is one of those. Everyone reacts different. Thank you for reviewing native deodorants because they are a better option to other deodorants.

I bought the blackberry and tea scent, and it’s the first deodorant I’ve had in a very long time that didn’t give me a weird, sticky arm pit feeling. The scent lasts all day even after a hard day at work. I picked up the peach cupcake scented one today and I’m gonna start using that one when my blackberry one wears out.

I am so glad you did this review! I have heard a lot about this brand before on podcasts and stuff but always from people who are paid to say good things, ya know? I'm sorry that you got a rash but I'm grateful you've been able to overall have a good experience.

Makes sense about feeling residue it’s an antiperspirant so clogs the pores so you don’t sweat and then it takes a few days for your pores to cleanse the Secret out again

When I first started using Native I got the regular formula and got an itchy rash as well. Since switching to their sensitive formula without baking soda I’ve never had a problem. Hopefully by this time you’ve tried the sensitive formula 🤗

I started with lume and used it for a year but wanted a larger range of scents so i started using native and i absolutely love it!! I also feel like the longer i used these deoderants the more they worked for me!! Love native

I notice that native wears off on me for some reason.
I have to put the deodorant on that as soon as I get off the shower. I get musky for some reason.
I love the brand as far as the body wash goes because it doesn’t irritate my skin unlike other body washes. Especially coming from Dove it’s a top contender

I have been using the Native coconut vanilla one for a while now and it works. Initially i was on regular antiperspirants ( like S*cret and D*gree, yes men's strength coz I smell as a woman ) and i noticed the darkening of pits, and my lymph nodes in the pits are constantly swollen, and now as I age, even my neck has swollen lymph nodes here and there. So decided to change to Native ( coconut vanilla) and initially i didn't use it right and only in the mornings, I stinked and had a rash. That was until i decided to go antiperspirant/deodorant free for a few days coz I was staying at home and no one else was gonna smell me, and washed my armpits well as according to Dr.Dray's advice, and then tried Native again applied day and night, making sure that i rubbed the product in evenly and generously, I have been stench free since. The skin has lightened and lymph nodes are shrinking, those on my neck is gone now. Not sure it was solely due to the change of what i applied on the pits, but as long as there's improvement I ain't complaining. So what I realised is that perhaps initially there was still residue of anti perspiration on my pits and it reacted with the Native and that cause a rash? Once the residue is off as I didnt use anything for a few days, and it works.

Perhaps like other commenters here, the sensitive skin version is worth the try. Just wanted to share my experience in hope it helps in anyway, as the stench control journey for me has been an arduous one. Have a good day/evening everyone. Be well.

I tried Native coconut deodorant, and it's cool. I feel it lasts half a day, and you may need to reapply at least once. For $13 i can buy from Dollar Tree and get the same results but i did just buy the body wash for $10 which i like

I started using native when I was 8. It seems young, but I still sweat. I’m double the age and it isn’t sticky.

I have not tried native because it’s expensive!! I hope I will try them in the future and see what I think !! No coconut because I can’t use coconut on my skin make me have a rash !!

What is the difference between the regular, plastic and sensitive styles?

If a deodorant has fragrance in it. That’s not a natural deodorant. Things with fragrance in it isn’t natural. Essential oils are natural fragrance so the ones that say Fragrance may be causing irritation. Were the deodorant that caused irritation (contain fragrance)?

They have some great smells but damn 13$!
Arm hammer essentials $2.98!
No Aluminum, parabens, phthalates, colors, animal-derived ingredients

I use native sometimes its pretty good especially the shampoo 🧴 and conditioner good for me havin long ass hair doesn't dry out
