Hong Kong-Born Ex-CIA Officer Pleads Guilty To Selling Classified US Info To Chinese Intel Officer

A former CIA officer accused of spying for China for at least a decade pleaded guilty in a Honolulu court. 72-year-old Alexander Yuk Ching Ma had been in custody since his arrest in August 2020. The US Justice Department said it amassed “a war chest of damning evidence” against him.
The evidence included a video of Ma and another former CIA officer providing classified information to Chinese intelligence officials. The footage showed Ma counting the $50,000 he received from the Chinese agents for his service, said prosecutors.
