✌️ Choosing between the 2? What features or aspects should I compare next?!

Samsung should show off their features just like every other brand.

They are always silent about it and the features just stay in their device

This where the note series paid off. Samsung had the S pen since the first Note and kept improving it through the years. It's no surprise the s pen has so many features and works flawlessly.

I'm with the S-Pen. It existed and worked great when Apple was still in their "we are never going to make a stylus" phase. I never understood why other artists were so set on Apple products even when they weren't set up for an art experience. People were buying third party styluses that didn't work great just to be able to use it with the iPad when Samsung was over here with a product that worked.

As someone who uses an iPad (8th generation) and apple pencil combo, I must say that the Samsung tablet looks quite impressive! The rubbery tip seems more ideal for note taking.

s-pen is FREE, no one can beat that 😆

You’re right, the Apple Pencil looks like it was made for sketching and shading with the angled tip while the S pen was made for writing with a sharp pen tip.

Hi long time digital artist here.
I've messed with both and will 100% say the S-pen is much better off in both price, and usage.
Much more responsive, and with the S-pen being passive it just makes more sense.

As someone who used the S7 consistently for artistic purposes, I'm surprised no one ever mentions that the spen nib wears out in time. The spen white rubber nib wears out and frays in 3 months of heavy use, and the harder black nib wore down in about a year for me, while the nibs are replaceable, Samsung doesn't offer them and you have to source them from online stores,

Love this note-takers' perspective. Its not only about art. Note matters as well.

I draw a lot on my s7+ tablet, what I like about the s pen is that you don't have to charge it if you're sketching, unlike the apple pencil you have to charge it.

I'm an avid Samsung user and am looking at getting the tab s8 and totally expected the Apple Pencil and iPad to win in a landslide. This is really interesting to hear tho as I never hear about the advancement that Samsung has made in these categories

2:22 This is what I was looking for!

Trying to find which one was better at the writing experience and offers better feedback. You should do a full video on just writing on the S pen. There isn't any other video out there that covers that topic.

Using both I tend to lean more towards the S-Pen for drawing/art. Simply for the rubbery tip on the S-Pen. iPad requires a matte screen protector that wears down the nib because that glass is way to slick. Great content 👍🏾

Personally, I have the S7+. I've had Samsung devices for a while, now. But since getting this one, I find myself using it in Dex mode mostly. It operates and handles just like a laptop, and with Microsoft 365, it really is perfect for that. I very rarely use the S pen, but do occasionally play around with it and Autodesk for drawing.

Really good review. Exactly what I was looking for; right on the money. You gave the right content in a clear and informative way. Soo good!

I have both tabs. The spen tip feels waaaay better than the apple pencil. I wish apple gave you the option to switch to a softer tip that felt more like the spen.

I am a business student and I have both of these. My story is that I cracked my S7+ screen last semester and I had to send it to Samsung to get fixed (thanks to premium care). So I was excited to take my iPad pro and dust it off and really "lean into it" until I got my Tab back (which together with the tab S6 before it I had been using for years in school). I tried it for a solid week, but in the end, it just couldn't do what my Tabs could do as far as the overall experience for note-taking, reading, and things of that nature. Sure, the iPad CAN do all of those things, but the experience is just....sub-par by comparison to the tab experience.

So after a week or so I switched back to my Tab S6 until my repair was complete (almost 2 months, but that's a different story) and didn't miss a beat.

I don't know if it's better integrated with Microsoft office, or just that the alternatives on iOS are just lacking by comparison, but the experience was not great. It wasn't bad by any means, but it was far better on the Tab S6.

For drawing I prefer the S-Pen. I don’t slip and slide and the nib adds resistance and buttery feel like brush pen.

For me as an artist, I'll go for the S PEN. I like when the tip of my pen is thin. It helps see through tiny lines. Plus all the extra functions and the fact that you don't need to use it only when it's charged. That was a great review, though.
