Many thanks! That issue was perplexing me on the ESP32, ESP8266 seems ok though. Important to stay on the web page whilst it's installing.

Please help! I am now to this esp32 business. The problem I'm having is which pin or pins can I use for data out for a a project I've been working on. I have individually addressable led matrix. The matrix leds i have are (2) 16x16 and (4) 8x32 oh and all of my matrix I have are 5 volts (USA) i do have a power supply the kind with the little plastic cover that covers the screws for the power input and power output screws and a screw to adjust the output voltage. I understand the power. It is the data I am stuck on! I have est 32S and nodemcu printed on the back. There is a pin for 5v, clk. I noticed most boards label the pins with the letter 'D'like D2, d3, D4 and so on. My board labels the board using the letter "P" I don't know, I differentiate between the two boards? I tried to Google my questions over 100 times and I keep seeing stuff about GPIO i haven't a clue what GPIO is. But all I want to do is hookup all 6 of my led matrix lights into one and have them act as one big matrix. To have all 6 matrix act as one big matrix do I need 1 esp32 for each or do I use 1 esp32 for 6 matrix? How do I figure out which pin is the data pin? Thank you!!!

Can I connect 3 tapes of 4 meters each to an ESp 32 or will I need more than one?

Hold the button down before applying the micro USB. After a few seconds release the button. The chip should be in programming mode.

90 percent of the time its a hardware problem. They've added more advanced logicnblocksnwhen they tape out the design and the weak usb micro cant provide enough power usually. If the blue led blinks then itll usually flash. Ive tested over 25 boards. The ones with usbc ports never fail to flash.

The esp32 can do faster fp math now if anyone has noticed which is because of the different revision. Thus it requires more mA to power the ic during the flash process. It's over 100mA sometimes.
