Some pretty quick instructions on how to install WLED on an ESP32 board and connect it to your phone. This will get you up and running in order to start using WLED and an ESP32 board for some LED projects. Well be using WLED for several future projects!

Hey carbalito, I have installed wled on two boards, one esp8266 and one esp32, but the next day they appear offline, I don't understand why. And I have to flash them again. Do you know what's happening? I even put the static IP thing in there, but it disconnects the next day.

tried this all night. it installs, then i get asked to enter my wifi credentials.thats all. it will not connect to wifi. i run it again. erase and reinstall. same thing. now im just pissed. defeated that something so simple is kicking my butt. i tried a mini esp32 and get the same result. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, great video. I want to use the controller on my bike to power WLED. Will I still be able to use my iPhone WLED app without any Wi-Fi or a home network. I’m not sure how to configure it to work on the app only. I can only log into WLED through my Wi-F, i by connecting to WLED Wi-Fi address. The app won’t discover the Esp32 . Thanks in advance.

Thank you for making this easy. I just installed WLED on four ESP32 boards and gave each a unique static IP address.

For the Windows 10/11 users. You might have to download the zip file for the square chip 210x universal Windows driver, unzip it, open Device Manager and right click on the chip with the exclamation mark and select Update Driver. Point to the location you unzipped the file. When you click install in WLED again you should see the chip instead of just an empty USB port.
