Testing arc slicing and printing without supports - is this really a 3D printing revolution?

I had to test a wonderful slicing experiment by Steven McCulloh, recently showcased by Stefan from the CNCKitchen. Can you print in the air yet?

Well, while the supports are not obsolete yet, this is still a very interesting idea that you can freely try if you have some PLA filament and a working 3D printer, because Steven provided some ready to print gcode files.

The technology is limited to simple polygons though, but I expect to see some adaptations in next-gen slicers.

I agree with you! It can maybe used in small overhangs with traditional slicers, but i dont think it can eliminate supports
