9 Month Milestones

Pediatrician Jay Gordon walks us through the new milestones that come with your baby’s first nine months of life. This can be a more challenging time because your baby will start to test limits, which means you need to start setting limits. Instead of saying no 20 times and shaking your finger, you’ll want to sit down on the floor with your baby and play or read with them. While they may not be crawling yet, your baby will be moving well enough to start testing limits. Nine months is also the time to begin diagnosing large developmental delays, like autism.

Hi.this video was very helpful for me. I have a baby girl that just hit 9 Months old today. She’s my only child and I feel like she’s developing at a “normal” pace.( from what I read and videos I see) she’s crawling, baby talking up a storm, very social and smiles a lot. BUT when she gets excited or mad.. she hand flaps. I don’t know if it’s even considered an actual “hand flap” but she’s now doing a lot.any advice for a worried first time mom? Thanks for your time.
