That's how you do it. Don't freak out. No need to argue or get mad, Latins influenced us, and vice versa. That's how the streets do. That's "the culture."

As a Mexican I listen to a lot of Oldies and James Brown, Smokey Robinson. It’s all love 🇲🇽

Mexicans from LA like music from 70's Motown, which is pretty much all black.

We all grew up together and watched each other and picked up what we admired from each other

We both influenced eachother. Because we are from the same areas, same struggles, same system against us and ultimately we are the same people. MUCH LOVE.❤

Lets not forget Zoot Suits were created from Brothers in the South and Chicanos took on that style so they've borrowed from each other a lot in LA.

Not to mention great answer but also everyone shopped at the same stores because that’s what we could afford back then

We need to just get along because both cultures really admire each other in all honesty. It aint about race, its about upper vs lower class. They wanna keep us down.

The word “Foo” was originally popularized by Southern California africans Americans during 50’s ‘60’s & 70’s which eventually got adopted by the Chicano community

We influenced one another. The Pachuco look was influenced by the jazz scene in Harlem in the 30s and 40s, and they listened to "Negro music." I personally loved that we slightly adopted the Chicano style. It spoke to a uniquely LA culture and look, and it gave Black LA a different look compared to our sisters and brothers in other states. Now everyone looks like us(Black folks), and it's too monotonous at this point.

I like the way he answered it. Humble with respect and logic. Also made a point that both cultures influence each other.

Biggest influence in the way gangsters dress is the indoor swap meet near whatever hood they’re from

Black and Browns, grow up so close together. We adopt a lot from each other. Oldies that Chicanos listen to are all Black singers. With style and grace and fantatic voices. R.I.P Brenton Wood. Real ones recognize real ones. Shout out to the USO's, too!

I'm a Black man, grew up as a child in Ohio and eventually moved to The Bay Area years ago. Whether in the Midwest or on the Westcoast, I always have love for and get hella love from my Mexican brethren. I definitely sport Dickies, Ben Davis, Shaka Wear, and a little FB County.
