The lone Wolf syndrome is my problem, but in these days, it’s needed to survive in a lot of situations, but I definitely need to step out of it a little. I’ve been doing it for so long, it’s become second nature and a way of life.

Such an amazing video. I think one more enemy to success is quitting when it gets tough. You know when you wake up in the morning one day but don't feel like getting up. If you give in that day, then congratulations! One week later you'll still find yourself giving in to your excuses.

I used to think I was unlucky all the time but now I just try to look for opportunities wherever I can. I accidentally stained my favourite cream cashmere cardigan that I wear all the time. Before, I would have beat myself up over it and left it sitting in the back of my closet forever, not doing anything about it. Now I have decided that I actually would love it in chocolate brown, which the company doesn't sell. So I'm going to try dyeing it myself! And I have more money than I ever did before so I can replace it with another cream coloured one, which I already know I'll get tons of wear out of. Then if the dyeing process works out I'll have a lovely chocolate brown one and the original cream colour that goes with everything. AND I'll have learned a new skill that I will likely need to use again someday! It's a small problem and a small example but I went from being upset and angry at myself to feeling excited to learn something new and that's a big mindset shift!

Oh, my gosh! I love these "kickass" rants attacking slackers but in a good way. I agree with everything in the vid. Once, I told my young adult children about one of Alux's tips. And the oldest one got upset, cut me off, and said, "Dad, I don't want to hear your lectures." Looks like people who are struggling with success sometimes reject constructive feedback, and that's probably why they are always struggling. They just won't listen and get on with it. But maybe they're just blocking out all the “noise” and will create some amazing new technology one day that will greatly benefit humanity.

My biggest struggle has always been I'm not smart enough or experienced enough. I get around that by just doing it anyway. If there's something I don't know, I learn it. If I don't have the experience, I just do it. I let the appropriate people know what I'm d doing, and they'll give support and advice if I'm headed the wrong way.

Another mindset I hate is "Why venture out to get the "best" when the "best" (school grades, diploma etc) is already within your reach?" mindset. I used to think diplomas and degrees are everything in the past and I'm glad to know the fact that they're not. If not, the whole world of people will be financially free and truly happy with their lives. Rich Dad Poor Dad didn't just teach me about money, it set me free. It literally gave me a permission that I can be different and go after the dreams I want instead of sacrificing my everything just to get straight As in school and get a job.
