Still unemployed and taking care of Mom and Dad at 54. Separating from old profession by June. Worried there will be no more work. If I’m going through a transformation, I’ll be damned if I know the lesson I’m learning (Nov). Letting go of old hurts and embarrassments, I guess. Gave up alcohol in January. Working out a lot. Cut carbs even more. My body is all I have to be proud of right now. Planted the garden and learned to can vegetables. I’m the only one who can do it. Mom fell and broke her arm in August, so now I’m taking care of both Mom and Dad (cognitive issues). Don’t know what to do for income… Outgoing only. Just trying to keep my chin up and help church family and elsewhere. Being invisible is a blessing. Travel is far off. Can’t bring myself to talk to a woman in my current state. Close though. Relationships are strained, at least.
