❤ this bag! I removed the short handle, and re-sewed a trigger snap in the leather loop, and now the short handle is removable. I never use the short handle, so it just adds bulk/weight - best modification ever! I do leather work as a hobby so I know how to restore to it original form if I want to resell it.

Such a fab review! I’ve had this bag on my wishlist for YEARS and I think it’s gonna be my next luxury bag purchase. Im looking on the preloved market because I really wanted the feet and I know the smaller size comes with feet in the older versions. I also LOVE how it’s carried as a clutch. I think it’s such a fresh and unique way to carry it. Thanks for such an in depth look into the Puzzle. So appreciate it.

How would you compare this to the cross body / messenger style men’s hobo puzzle bag? They came out in 2023 and I think hasn’t been continued.

He Nicolas! This vlog just popped up in my feed, even though it is two years old. I purchased the Loewe Puzzle (small) on New Year’s Eve and it is in the exact same colorway as yours except it is now called “Oak”. It is tone on tone just like yours, which I prefer. The smooth calfskin is buttery soft with beautiful complimentary gold hardware. I love it so much, especially the slouch. I too wish the zipper would run the full length of the bag but it’s a very minor con for me. I purchased a bag organizer so that it’s a little more organized inside and easier to locate my items. I am torn between medium and large and 99% of YouTubers buy the mini, small or medium.
I hear that spot where the leather tears happens on all sizes. So frustrating - but at least it’s fairly hidden.

Nicholas the one i ended up with is the XL Puzzle in black. I absolutely love it! It sports an extra pocket on the logo side of the bag and it doesn't have the small carry strap. I am able to store many things inside and a light jacket too. Amazing to travel with it. The zipped compartment are very secure.
