Yea this is just puting design over functionality

Tokyo 2020's had interesting design, clear readability and were actually pictograms, not just design

I find these very hit or miss, you either love em, or you hate em

Tokyo 2020 had the best design and presentation of the pictograms. The sports were well represented with clear and simple designs.

I think these are quite complicated. Yes, they are unique but some of them may seem to be hard to identify. Still prefer 2020, simple, interesting and understandable

These put more emphasis on the equipment and field of play than the athletes, which seems antithetical to the point of the Olympics. On top of that, many are hard to decipher without a label. They don't work as pictograms.

I wish Paris 2024 every success, but this is not a pictogram, just a design.
A pictogram is meaningless unless it is a guiding sign that everyone can see.
I hope you will reconsider.

So graphic and it 100% look cool on goodies but the pictogram itself is unreadable... Tokyo 2020 was so perfect for it.

뭘 뜻하려는 건지 읽기도 어렵고 난해함. 대칭 맞추려고 쓸데없이 사물을 2개 넣는 등 정보가 너무 많아서 가시성이 좋지 않다. 걍 내장재며 가구며 인테리어며 최고급으로 맞춰놓곤 정작 비 오면 천장에서 물 새는 저택 같음

those cannot be considered as pictogram tbf, people won't understand the meaning of each graphics at a glance let alone used for various media at different sizes

It doesn't work. As a sports fan, some of these pictograms are impossible to tell what they are without having words next to them. Might as well not have pictograms if this is the case. Just use a QR code with Google translate.

What is the skateboarding pictogram? Two Band-Aids?

Horrendous execution, half of them are indecipherable and that’s while looking at them on a monitor, nevermind in the distance or at an angle. They somewhat work as a merch option where you can be more elaborate but the whole notion of calling pictograms outdated while running with a coat of arms motif is rather ironic
