Surprise surprise im not dead
Sorry i haven't uploaded in so long, I've had a lot of life stuff happen and I've just been busy. I've also gotten a bit anxious about posting cause i hadn't done it in so long which just made me want to post less. I've done some collabs with people the past year, so its not like i completely disappeared, but yh sorry about that!
I made most of this MAP part in one night , literally took all day i went to sleep at 6am and needed to get up at 7:30am to go to a festival for 4 days but i survived on an hours sleep lol
I had so much fun making this part though! I tired a new shading technique which i hope looks alright!
The original PMV that this map is based off of was one of the first i saw from the fandom and I ADORE IT SO MUCH, and is the thing that inspired me to make my 'I cant Decide' MAP :] so im so honored to be able to take a part in this map!

I hate how nobody ever talks about how awful this situation was for Reedshine. She had no control over what happened between Mapleshade and Appledusk (he cheated on her, too), and literally watched her husband die in front of her. Beautiful animation!

I love they way you designed Mapleshade! Most people when they design Mapleshade they give her ginger and black spots with a bit of white fur in some places, but in the books Mapleshade is described as a white and ginger she-cat with no traces of black spots, dark ginger spots count but in the book it says nothing about black spots, im okay if someone designs Mapleshade with black spots but I get really excited when someone actually uses the canon design :)

Also I really love your art style and love the expression and body language you gave them! The shading and lighting are amazing too!

the posing (especially those first couple frames) are done perfectly for displaying the emotions of this scene!! i love the spray of the blood, followed by Reedshine's reaction of confusion and then distress. Mapleshade's expression, the way Appledusk's life fades, the poor ghost witnessing the scene, the body language of Reedshine and Mapleshade at the end - all tell the story perfectly. I love how Mapleshade's feelings / personality are portrayed through your art. amazing style, framing, and color work all top it off

HOLY SHIT IBLOVE THE EXPRESSIONS, ESPEICALLY after Reedshine and Mapleshade end up seeing Appledusk dead in front of her, like with Reedshine its pure shock and horror that he defended her, and fpr Mapleshade its disgust that her narrative fidnt play out, but oh well.

Such a beautiful part. Fluid with raw emotion.
I also love the thin lineart style! The way Appledusk looks over to Reedshine, realizing that Mapleshade is going to attack her, yet blocking her way. I also love to think you drew the tears on Appledusk because he's realizing he won't get to see his unborn kits, sorry, just my headcannoning. But your animations has always been my favorites! Sorry for the long comment.
