40k Blood FX!

Heres how I create blood drips and icicles for my warhammer models!
Be very careful since youre using an open flame. A heat gun MIGHT work as well but I havent tried it. In this video I add some blood drips to my space marines chain sword.

Wanna see more of my work?

Oh man I was talking about this in your other videos comments. That's a old school trick. Looks cool if you twist it looks just like a spine. Made a cool dread that way. Cheers looks awesome.

YES!
I've used flyer bases something like this for a tracer pinging off armor, like a deflection.
Was going to use another one soon, but now i know what i have to use them for.

I got a ton of bases by buying Drukhari Hellions and assembling them all in capoeira poses, a hand on the ground!

Simple genius. Easy, straightforward, cool that make a must have effect for all your marines

You can also use any leftover sprues in much the same way.

3d resin and a uv pen is great creates a realistic dripping effect

If you want to do this, for the best effect, place them horizontally or diagonally on the area of the figure that is meant to look like it’s in motion. don’t place them vertically unless you want it to look like your figure is standing still. Putting them vertically can still look very cool though because it can emphasize how still they are and make them look very steady and stoic.

I think I’m gonna get into this someday because of your page. I’ve liked figures for a while but never liked the idea of just paying a lot for a figure to have it sit around without customizing it or painting it yourself, especially when fakes are everywhere and you never know what quality you are getting. This seems wayyy more fun and creative. And such an awesome result.

Damn, that is legit genius. I'm going to try that to do little flames on my Astartes flamers.

It works well for icicles, but for blood drip I find that superglue drips on fishing line is the best as it has the organic drop feel of dripping blood.

Nice one!
Someone told me to mix the paint with Uhu glue to make nice gore effects...😗 but use an old brush for it 🙈

Loving these, but gotta ask where is the music from? Love this + the one you've got on the bolter head splatter video!

Smart. Way better than my method, I used a hot glue gun and dabbed straight up and slightly blew on it yo make a curve on mine.

I'd sometimes had to replace it if I'm moving or using them for tournaments but this methods seems more solid

I wonder if I can put some hot glue on parchment paper instead, I don’t really have spare bases

Given I just ordered a blight drone and some jump pack Primaris ima have enough flying bases for my Bringers of Decay

Does it have to be a flame from verdant moss? 😅

Do you know another similar trick I don't have many flyer bases

Very cool!
Have you tried doing it with UV resin?

It would be more logical to have the icicles pointed the other way as it should be assumed that the chainswords teeth are spinning

You can use UHU glue and blood for the blood god and get a better and easier effect.

This is nice but I’ll stick to the Uv resin
