I also just bought the SD oled 1tb. Didnt really consider other handheld options because the games I'm gonna be playing on this is gonna get a better upgrade from the oled screen rather than more powerful performance, and I dont want windows. The demanding AAA I'll still play on my pc or ps5.

Good choice. I love my OLED SD. Don't listen to the people saying get the ROG or Legion. They are like 20% faster at best, that isnt enough to do anything more really than the steam deck can. Plus the community support and projects for the deck are so much better than any handheld. Going to enjoy FF7 rebirth on mine tomorrow.

Found a New 2TB oled on Amazon came with a tempered glass and case grip and the protective case stuff. Also got a 2TB SanDisk Extreme Pro directly from the site. I already bought a lot into steam with games and im not liking windows and the way it works with registry, slowdowns over time onedrive, and few other things that you just lose control over. Honestly the steam deck runs surprisingly well. If they came out with another upgraded model next week ill buy that too lol. I like the fact that most of the time yes you can make it run, just try a few things out.

Also look into getting a killswitch grip case it has a kickstand that can store 4 additional sdcards to expand your library... you can hot swap the Microsoft cards like switch games

Yeah I got a grip and ended up taking it off. That deck was already a perfect for my hands and the grip added too much bulk.

I’m no tech guy. So forgive me for the question. But is the SD that far behind in tech from the order handhelds that are out there?
I like the design of the SD more than any other one. But if the tech is close to being outdated, I’ll get something else

For the price that thing costs you could have gotten and ally or legion go and they both perform better in games.
