In today’s video about ClrMame we take a Merged set of Mame and we rebuild it into a Non-Merged set. This is important if you are looking to organize your roms, and take out the ones you don’t want or need.

For example, Lets take Pac-Man. There are 100’s of versions of Pac-man, and if you have a handful that you like. Maybe the world version, maybe you also want Puc-man, but you don’t need 20 other clones. You use the Non-Merged Rom Set as this is a One game per One rom ratio.
This is great if you want to edit your list for RetroPie, Batocera, Launch box, or even AttactMode.

Nice guide but unfortunately it didn't work for me (version of 0.162 of DAT). I still get messages when launching games like "The selected game is missing one or more required ROM". After manual checking eg rom "gaplus" is missing at least some files. The game does not start. Interestingly, in the MAME 0.162.dat file for the "gaplus" rom, the list of required files is complete. However, Clrmamepro does not download these files. In addition, it downloads a lot of clones that I don't need.
