PLEASE NOTE THIS VIDEO WAS MADE BEFORE THE LOCKDOWN RESTRICTIONS IN THE UK
Julia and I are on our trip, a shortened trip as it happens due to the Covid19 outbreak, in Hampshire. On our way to find the Bed and Breakfast establishment we are staying at we paused briefly to explore Petersfield Heath - and yes, I know we missed the pond!
I hope you enjoy our little jaunt around the open space.

You turn a small walk into an adventure! Great space, seems to go on for ever.

You never quite know what you will find until you look!

That's lovely Richard. I assume this was done before the "lockdown" ?
Your videos mean so much to a lot of people, those unable to get out, and those living alone.
Keep up the great work.

Petersfield Heath has 21 bronze age Barrows, according to its web site.

Your lovely film makes us better appreciate the Green and Pleasant land in which we are lucky enough to live! 💚

Great video, nice walk in self isolation. It's all becoming more sirius now. Nice heathland to walk through. Well done

This my local area, a beautiful tranquil place. Many Neolithic burial mounds. Take care x

I’m sorry Richard, but looking at the video, your car may be suffering from a case of lesser spotted seagull disease. Or perhaps greater pigeon splatteritis?

This looks very much like Reigate Heath, a typical sandstone heath; interesting from other comments that there’s a lot of barrows as well (just like at Reigate.) when things are better, our next walk will take us there.

What a beautiful sunny day walk!🌞 According to the Friends Of Petersfield Heath webpage the grounds are an important historical site covered w/ burial mounds (est. 21 Bronze Age barrows).

Lived in Petersfield for 40 years and yes there is burial mounds, however the one you climbed is a man made elevated tee off platform from when the golf course was there.... Shame you didn’t go around the lake, you were right next to it and that’s the jewel in the crown for Petersfield.

I know what Julia means by the smell of rabbits.

If you like rabbits Julia. I have suggested taking Richard to Watership Down near me where the book was written and art for the cartoon was drawn..you can still see landscapes there that are in the film.

Joseph is definitely a frustrated presenter, bless his little heart. I quite like the solitude of your walk, but in the same way it seems a bit strange, all this emptiness

It’s a lovely walk around the old golf course at the Heath and around Petersfield lake. Did you walk around the lake as well Richard? I found a bit of info on the humps, hopefully the link works. Nice video again. 👍🏻
