Rick I love your videos, I've been watching your channel since you had 30 thousands subscribers. Your reviews are really helping me select what clubs i want to get for the start of this coming spring. Keep up the awesome

I think that most of us mid handicap golfers suffer more from ego than lack of talent. What I mean is that there are plenty of clubs out there that would yield us better results, more consistently. I know this, yet I am drawn to clubs that are more difficult to hit. I must have a screw loose upstairs! :)
Cheers,
Rich

These are the best version of AP2s Titleist has made to date. Very forgiving imo.

I just got the 714 AP2s last week. I'm glad I didn't wait!
I prefer the look of the 714s too.

+rick shiels golf channel I just watched a couple old videos you had made. It's funny how nervous you were...and how much better your reviews have gotten!

I've watched almost every one of your club tests and this is one of the most unforgiving. unfortunate. I still want to give these a try as I sit in that area these are made for. 4 hdcp and prefer forgiveness over distance.
Great video as usual, Rick. Thanks.

Speith tried the 716 AP2 irons this year and missed two cuts. Still playing his 714 AP2 irons

I was trying to decide between these and the Mizuno 850 forged. I was already leaning towards the Mizuno, having played Mp-57 for a few year now, and your reviews have helped cement confirm that bias.

Re-watching this video now that the 718 AP2s are out. In the 718 video you mention that you weren't a big fan of the feel of the 716s. That is evident in this video. Based on the 718 AP2 video it sounds like you much prefer the feel and sound of the 718 AP2s versus the 716. I also thought the 716s felt very harsh for a forged club, even when hit close to the middle. The 718 AP2s are MUCH softer on good hits, but still a little un-forgiving on hits low on the face. But overall, the 718 AP2 is a BIG jump in feel / sound versus the 716s. Your two videos confirm that as well. Thank you.

Muted sounds. Looks great as always from them.

Between your good strike with the 4 iron and not a good strike (it was not an awful strike) there is a difference of 21 yards! That is A LOT.
The 6 iron showed also an 18 yard dispersion between a good strike and a bellow center hit. For a 6 iron that is huge.
Conclusion: If mid handicappers have off center hits (which is common) they will loose too much distance with the AP2. So only to be played by low handicappers.

Im a ten handicap and i love the game and i can hit some great shots with my ap1 712's and i was thinking about getting these soon is there any problems with these clubs besides forgiveness

Rick you tested the Nike Pro Combo a while back which did you prefer against these?

Titleist have been marketing these as almost as a really forgiving players iron, shame to see such high drop offs, I was looking at possibly replacing my mp54's with these. I'll still give them a test. Great and honest review as always.

hmmm, you hit the MB's longer & better than the CB's & AP2's... I wanted to see you test the MB's because I just started using blades, The Wilson FG tour 100's. They do make me focus more on each shot I take.

Rick, which one out of the sets were you most exited to hit. AP1, AP2, MB, or CB?
