5:14 if you're assuming "political correctness gone mad" is a term fascists use as an excuse, I'd argue the opposite, as PC does impose restrictions and censorship that goes against liberties that leftists, especially left libertarians like communists and anarchists hold very dear, such as the freedom of speech.

instead of your choice of the word "blame", you should have used the word which describes what is being done. Trump was not a fascist. He has no ideology, no vision of a perfect society, no plan towards it. He was primarily motivated by his own vanity. However.. it is clear that some of his followers would have gladly helped implement an authoritarian state on his behalf if he had guided them. He was no threat but he serves as a lesson showing that there are a lot of people who are hungry for authoritarianism who could become fascists if the right leader comes along that tells them what they want to hear. Which is not to say there aren’t also people on the left who also have an authoritarian streak, there are.. but I don’t think they are as likely to embrace the militarism and violence necessary to take over society completely.
