If you are worried about the biscuit "telegraphing" over time on the top of your work piece, Just lower the slot a little to the inside of the work piece. Hard to explain but if you know you know. As said in another comment, knowing how to use it and when to use it is the key.

I've always been under the impression that biscuits were more for alignment and don't create a strong joint. Is that another myth? Way cheaper than a domino.

I have heard that biscuits don't add strength as much as they allow god alignment, that the glue provides the strength. Comment?
