A very important one you left out is ketoacidosis. A child can easily go into ketoacidosis if they are undernourished and/or dehydrated and ill. It only takes one day of eating poorly or fasting and a fever for a child to go into ketoacidosis. They do not have to be diabetic, and stomach pain mimics appendicitis. I wonder how many kids have unnecessarily lost an appendix because they refused to eat their food? Remember this. Its important!
