Love that you are doing this series. I think there is a large deficit of advanced level content for any type of programming. Something I have always struggled to find

thanks for this series, it seems like everyone on youtube makes a beginner course then drops off to make another beginner course in another language. not many people are sticking to one thing and continuing to build on it

What are the intermediate-advanced books that you like and thought were helpful ? I have a list here, so all you watchers feel free to comment (of course it goes without saying that "The Python3 standard library by example", 2017, is a must book)
1. Professional Python (2015)
2. Powerful Python (2017)
3. (3rdEd 2018)
4. (2018)
5. (2018)
6. Expert Python programming (3rdEd 2019)
7. Mastering Object Oriented Python (2ndEd 2019)
8. Serious Python (2019)
9. Pro Python 3 (2ndEd 2019)
10. Effective Python (2ndEd 2019)
11. Practices of the Python Pro (2020)
I think that now-days we have plenty of advanced Python3 books!

That dynamic function redefinition is intriguing; rather than directly looping, you could make a generator and manually call next() on the object to update the function definition. I have to imagine that any benefits of this idea would be outweighed by the added complexity and lessened readability, but it's definitely an interesting thought!

Here are some topics you could try. 1. A program to draw and display vector graphics. 2. A program to use a small data base to input, store and retrieve items. 3. A program to create a client and a server for the internet.

This nested function is actually called high-order function in Berkeley cs61a, which can be really useful to write helper function in Python.
