My guy, I have to congratulate you on this. I am a completely new beginner to coding and your way of explaining things is perfect for me. Explaining how a function works then showing it in the application then showing its use for the game. I tweaked a couple of things here and there for my own game but with a bit of experimenting using what you taught in just this lesson, I actually feel like I've already made progress. Since nobody will read the whole thing Tldr: Thank you. I've taken your tutorial, and made it my own time sink playground/loop boot camp.

This was a fantastic launching off point. I had something to play with in about 10 minutes. Then asking google how to implement single things has turned this into a loop bootcamp.

My project has devolved into a 400 line mess of while loops so i can check against a list for accepted inputs, and if the inputs aren't on that list it kicks out an error message, and reprompts the user for the same input again. I imported time (import.time) and created a slow typing function so my longer bits of text come out in a speech like cadence, and it pauses at punctuation. I have a RNG function for a gun with import.random. it just has a 70% chance to hit at any time, but i have it in a function where it loop fires until the enemy takes 3 shots and you take damage according to missed shots and the enemies strength. Ill have different functions for different enemies, but this is my common bad, so three shot standard is good enough for now.
I have health and ammo tracking, and a character that follows you, but only if you exibit kindness in front of them, so i have a value that checks for that act of kindness, and initiates extra things, options and dialogue along the way.

All this, one hair brained idea at a time, and I'm just through the tutorial and past just the first enemy encounter, realizing I'm in for a couple months of work for a fetch quest game that'll last a half hour of playthrough if I can impliment the plans in my notebook.

Like I said, I think mostly, I'm just getting really good at loop syntax, and decent at functions, but I'm pretty sure this'll be a resume project someday.
