So this whole time Emilia gain the courage to face her past not just for Subaru, but for their nonexistent unborn child. Emilia is just too pure.

To be fair, that really shows Emilia's commitment and trust in Subaru, as in her eyes she acepted his child by kissing him

This means Emilia thought that if they kissed she'd get pregnant, but she still kissed Subaru, taking the kiss scene to a whole other level.

Emilia's innocence makes the kissing scene that much more wholesome.
And the kiss of death scene that much worse.

Fun fact: In the Web Novel Subaru freaks out a lot more than what is shown in the anime, and when Emilia asks if he didn’t want the kiss, he blurts out that he would kiss Emilia an infinite number of times, suggesting that he would make an infinite number of babies with Emilia.

Props to Subaru for not getting killed this half of the season, mostly everything worked out for him!

Subaru is too busy freaking out that he doesn’t seem to realise that Emilia just inadvertently admitted that she would be okay with him being the father of her child lol.

Plot twist: this is actually how babies work in re zero and Subaru actually impregnated her without knowing

There’s a side story telling us where she learned this. It wasn’t Puck that told her. It was Annerose (that young girl we see this episode). Puck was too embarrassed to correct her.

Misunderstanding aside, it's pretty wholesome and cute how she is okey with having a baby with Subaru and taking care of it despite the royal selection
